JANUARY 2017

Water Funding Opportunities

The Farm Stewardship and the Farm and Ranch Water Infrastructure Programs are agricultural programs offered through the Growing Forward 2 (GF2) framework.  Both the Farm Stewardship and the Farm and Ranch Water Infrastructure Programs provide cost-shared funding for eligible producers.

The Farm Stewardship Program provides financial assistance to implement beneficial management practices (BMPs) to help maintain or improve the quality of soil, water, air, or biodiversity resources. The Farm and Ranch Water Infrastructure Program supports secure water supplies in Saskatchewan. Funds are available for projects designed to expand irrigated acres, grow the livestock industry, encourage rural economic activity, and mitigate the impact of drought.

This presentation will feature how producers can access cost-shared funding through the Farm Stewardship and the Farm and Ranch Water Infrastructure Programs and highlight specific, eligible on-farm projects.
